Admin Support

We have an Admin Team who can support your own Administrators by undertaking data gathering, chasing providers, obtaining valuations, producing illustrations and ancillary report paperwork.

File Checks/Audits

All good IFA businesses should undertake a review of a percentage of business completed by each adviser as evidence of on-going competence.

With our extensive Section 166 and past business review experience we can undertake this work on your behalf, either as a regular function of your T&C Scheme or as a one-off exercise to provide reassurance.

Cashflow Forecasts

Most advisers will use cashflow projections with their ‘at retirement’ clients, and many compliance functions require one to be produced and commented on.

We can produce these for you, either using your own software or ours.

Many of our advisers like to use these with all their clients to illustrate whether their financial plans are on track and update them every year.

You can stay on top of their investments and pensions, and it enables you to have meaningful conversations with your clients about their plans and objectives.

Research & Analysis

Most Advisers prefer to do their own research, but from time-to-time need support in this area, and we’re happy to help.

We will always sense-check the advice to ensure the file information supports the recommendation and can help to fill in any apparent gaps. On occasion, we might suggest another advice route that could be considered to ensure your files are robust.

We can also undertake the requisite comparisons for pension switch cases either using your own software or ours.

As a matter of course we can fill out the FCA suitability report and any replacement business forms to complete your records.

Continued Suitability Reviews

The FCA statesFirms providing investment advice must agree with a client whether a periodic assessment of suitability will be performed. If a periodic assessment is to be performed it must be at least annually and the continued suitability confirmed in writing’.

Your regular reviews must cover:

  • A clear assessment of the suitability of previous advice given and reconfirming this still remains suitable.
  • Confirmation of costs the client has incurred over the last 12 months (ex-post costs).

We will work with you to produce a process and annual review template documentation to suit your business.

We can then access the necessary information on your system, such as products, planning, risk profile, costs, portfolio updates etc, and add these to the review document.

Suitability Reports

Most Advisers’ skill set lies with the face-to-face aspect of advising and less so in the ‘writing it down’ part.

You’re earning money when you are meeting with clients, not tied to your desk writing reports. And many advisers dislike this aspect of the role, or simply don’t have enough time to do it effectively.

Let us take the pain out of your day by creating your suitability reports for you. Because we enjoy this aspect of the job, we’re really good at it. We create concise and readable suitability reports that help you to tick all the compliance boxes and that your clients will actually read and understand.

We can use our own well-structured templates, fully branded to your company and including your personal report preferences or use your own templates, whichever you prefer.

Either way, you will receive your report in Word format so you can tweak it at your end, should you wish to do so. If you need any amendments post-completion, just give us a call and we’ll do them straight away.

Transfer Value Comparator (TVC) Analysis

Using our Defined Benefit Transfer analysis tool we can run an in-depth comparison as part of your APTA for your clients, using up-to-date FCA assumptions.
